Today our clinical system is being serviced, and my clinical system is out of commission, so I am travelling down memory lane.
I am writing my clinical notes, that I haven't done for years, on paper. I can draw little diagrams of where pain is, etc.
I do have my fountain pen with me, so it is a nice retro afternoon.
*sigh*

The pen is more individual and quicker to log on with than a Smartcard, requires no electricity, does not require Read coding and is quicker than typing for most doctors and can be used in remote locations.
What is your problem with advanced tecnology that actually works? ;))

Speaking of the use of new technology, every month or so my friend keeps asking me to resend him my phone number and contact details cos' he's changed to a new mobile phone and something went wrong when trying to transfer the contacts from one phone to the other. Call me old fashioned, but I don't understand why he wont just use a simple address book to back things up like I do.
Even if the unthinkable happened (my phone got nicked or something), I'd still have everyone's contact details in the little book. I know so many people whose whole world comes to a standstill if their blackberry goes missing and I think that's kinda sad.
